Giacomo is a PhD Student in Language and Literacies Education at OISE, University of Toronto. He holds a Masters degree in Education and Applied Linguistics, a TESL certitification, and a B.A. in Modern Languages.

 

Giacomo has been teaching English-as-a-Second-Language and English-for-Academic purposes to adults at a post-secondary level for the last 14 years, and he occasionally lectures Italian and Communication courses at Brock University. He is a full-time professor at Niagara College, where he is also the Academic Coordinator in the School of English Language Studies, and he is the faculty representative on the Board of Governors. In the Fall 2017, his first academic article will be published in the TESOL Journal.

 

Giacomo speaks Italian and Spanish, and he worked extensively as a translator, interpreters, music writer, and can be found throughout the year presenting at conferences, singing in concerts and shows in theatres, or chasing after his three small children.
