Go Noodle is a website that helps get students active. It is basically a compilation of entertaining cartoon music videos meant to play to an audience and have the audience move along with the video.
Below is the introductory video about Go Noodle.
Most of the videos are purely for motion, as in this dance video below:
But some are actually educational, as they help people remember educational concepts through physical activity. Kind of like how creating a mnemonic can help you remember something. See this video below about the water cycle:
Go Noodle in Holistic Education
There are a few different modes for Go Noodle: workout, exercise, meditation/breathing, stretching. Clearly, these are meant to physically engage the audience when they need a quick break. While you can use this site to practise actual physical skills or cognitive skills, it is more likely that you will use it as a break to de-stress the mind, do some breathing or stretching exercises, or allow the body to relax a bit in the middle of a stressful lesson. if you have the right mindset and attitude, you can even use it in a staff meeting or small group meeting at a point when people need a bit of a break. This can be used as a reminder that physical activity is important or taking breaks, consolidating your thoughts, shaking up the mind a bit, etc.
